Responsibilities of the Clerk-Treasurer
The primary function of the clerk-treasurer, a four year elected official, is to serve as the keeper of the municipality’s official public records and is the Chief Financial Officer for the town of Hope.
The duties of the clerk-treasurer include managing the town’s financial accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll. The clerk-treasurer compiles the town’s comprehensive annual financial report and prepares the annual budget.
